Diagnostics
This section provides a diagnostic check to see if your commercial software development
is working smoothly.
On the next pages I ask a series of simple questions which will help identify areas
of tension and discomfort.
When complete, the results show each of the linkages between the key departments
and influences and marks them as Healthy,
Stressed or Strained.
If you hover the mouse over a link, you will see recommendations in this panel to
the right and, if appropriate, some suggested therapies.
A holistic approach is essential to understanding commercial software development
so the questions are posed from the point of view of the Technologists, Marketing,
the Board and Sales. Obviously, it is ideal if each department answers it's own
questions, but you can get some ideas by answering all the questions yourself.
